When is your baby's last bottle before bedtime?
Kevin's bedtime is between 8:30 - 9:30. We usually start getting him ready for bed around 7:15 - 7:30 and after he's had a bath and is in his jammies he gets his last bottle. He usually falls asleep right after that and after holding him upright for 1/2 hour (because of reflux) we'll put him to bed.
Problem - I know your not supposed to get a baby used to falling asleep with the bottle but I don't know how to change his schedule so his last bottle is not so close to his bedtime.
What does everyone else do?

Re: When is your baby's last bottle before bedtime?
His last bottle is usually at 7pm and I try to put him down for bed around 8pm. I try to follow the EASY (Eat, Activity, Sleep, You) method from the book Secrets of the Baby Whisperer, so he usually never falls asleep after a bottle. I'll read him a story after the last bottle to try to wind down before putting him to sleep.

I give Julia a bath around 8:00 everynight, then lay her in bed with me around 9 and breastfeed her for like 10 mins just till she falls asleep. She usually doesnt wake up untill 5am for another feeding.

I also (breast)feed my baby to sleep. She only wakes up once per night to eat, so it hasn't caused a problem.

Re: When is your baby's last bottle before bedtime?
Jake has been taking his last bottle pretty early - 6:30pm. So we try to keep him up a little while afterwards. We play gently and quietly with him so as not to get him too stimulated or he just sits in my lap and watches TV with me for a few minutes. Then he goes into his crib and, if he's up for it, we read him a book. But he's out for the night by 7:30 - 8pm the latest.
Sometimes if he's really tired I can't help it and he falls asleep while I'm burping him.

Re: When is your baby's last bottle before bedtime?
Katherine will go 6 hours at night before waking up to eat (she's 8 weeks), so I like to feed her around 9:30-10pm and then put her directly to sleep; that way, she wakes around 4ish and we can go back to sleep for several hours after that.
I can't wait until she will go to sleep a bit earlier, so I can have "me time!"

Re: When is your baby's last bottle before bedtime?
ok, how old are your little ones?, right now we feed Jacob at 10:00 and he usually wakes up at around 5:30 or 6 in the am.
If I feed him earlier like you all are, than that there is no way he will go through the night.
So, do I expect this happen at like 4 or 5 months or even later?, right now he is 2 months and eating 6 oz of formula per feeding every 3.5 to 4 hours during the day..
Please be specific in how old your child is, it would really help out
Thanks

My son is 9 months and goes to bed 9ish. He was going to be between 11ish at 2 months. LIttle by little it got earlier, it was all him who did it - we went with his cues. I would say around 6 months or so we settled at 9pm. Around 4-5 months he slept to 6-7ish. Now he gets up anywhere from 5-7, we can uaully get a half hour to an hour more if we move him to our bed when he wakes up.

Re: When is your baby's last bottle before bedtime?
wow...my son is 2 months and the most he will eat at a feeding is 4 ounces and that is only like once a day. I guess his last bottle is around 10 but then again he is up at 1 and 5 and 7 so I guess he really does not have a last bottle he is on a REVOLVING SCHEDULE! I wish I could get him to go longer and eat more but he likes to eat every 2-3 hours and usually about 2.5 ounces.
