Moms who keep busy during the day with their kids...
How do you handle naps?
Miranda usually naps around 9 and 1:30-2 ish. So I never feel like we have a big window to be out of the house.

I never really go around their schedule, I even wake them if I need to go out. They need to learn to be flexible, if not they become very tempermental about their routine and it can cause you lots of extra stress. If something is inerrupted int hei scheudle it is hard for them to adjust and this is the last thing you need when life can be so unpredictable.

I like to keep a schedule, but if something necessary arises, I will push back the nap. It's hard when you are on two naps/day. Once it's one nap/day it's a lot easier.

Well that's what I do for the most part but she really suffers without her naps. She does sleep in the car but she's not one to stay asleep once the car stops moving. I try to have a day or two as home days so she gets good rest.

My kids do too. It's ok when they are in the infant carriers, but after that, it's difficult. I really tried to just go out during waking times with Gabriella (with exceptions of course depending what it was.) It's much more difficult once you have two though. I became so accustom to one nap, I have to readjust for two naps. That will stink for Gabriella during the summer and going to the park.

You just do what you need to do... Yes Jacob is on sort of a schedule but if I know I have something- for instance gym class is at 2:00 I will feed him earlier so his nap will be a little earlier...
If I am at playgroups all of the kids take a nap at somepoint while we are there so it really soesn't matter for those days... we get to eat and chat during that down time..
Also, I am usually home by 4:00 on any given day so I home for the last feeding...
You need to plan your day, not the baby.. If that was the case I would never go out....

I ususally go out around Alex's nap schedule. If he doesn't get naps the evenings are terrible.

It is hard, but I either get out of the house early am before a morning nap and right after lunch.

Jake still takes 2 naps a day, one at about 10ish, and this is when I shower. The other is in the afternoon, if we are home, its usually around 2:30. If we are out it can be anywhere from 3:00 - 4:00. Sometimes he won't take a nap in the pm if we are out.

Hayley sleeps anywhere so I don't have to stay home for her naps.

Re: Moms who keep busy during the day with their kids...
Emily is down to 1 nap a day (if I am lucky) and when possible, I stay home for it. If we need to go somewhere during that time, she usually sleeps in the car, but she doesn't get as much of a nap as she needs so it's not ideal.
She is napping right in the middle of the day now which is hard, but living without a nap all together is even harder
