Bedroom sets! Where can we look?

We'd like solid wood construction and would prefer to see it in person rather than shop online. So, where did you get your bedroom set? And by set, I mean bed, dresser, nightstand, maybe even a second dresser.

I saw my bedroom det in a store on 110 and ordered it through NC. I saved about $1000 plus taxes.

Re: Bedroom sets! Where can we look?

I saw mine at two showrooms, but eventually ordered it from M. Katz and Sons on the Lower East Side. They have terrific prices! My set was priced at $12,000-$14,000 and we got it for $7995!! It's Bernhardt Renditions

Re: Bedroom sets! Where can we look?

I used to work at Ethan Allen and got my bedroom set a few years ago. It would have cost a ton of money and some pieces I literally got for free!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

DH doesn't know it yet but I would like to start looking for new bedroom furniture within the next year or so.

We got our bedroom set from the Bedroom Source on Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst. It is the Translation set by Stanley.

We spent under $2k (headboard, 2 nightstands, tall dresser, long dresser). We got ours at Pier 1, and we happened to catch a great sale. Also, DH had a cc with them, but hadn't used it in years. When he re-activated it, we got another 10% or so off. It's solid wood and well made and we love it.

Re: Bedroom sets! Where can we look?

We just bought an amazing set (solid wood) from JCPenneys this past weekend. They had an unbelievable furniture (40-60% off) and if you had a JCP charge you got an extra 10% off that. We ended up buying our mattress through them too...there was a rebate for the shipping, which will include the furniture shipping. We're dying to get it!

Maybe I'm just picky, but I'm having the hardest time finding something I like! I think we've looked everywhere

Re: Bedroom sets! Where can we look?

We have dressers from my great aunt, and bedside tables from Gothic Cabinet craft. I'd check their stuff out, I really like it and they will stain it in any color.

Re: Bedroom sets! Where can we look?

I got my bedroom set from Gothis Cabinet Craft. We picked most of the stuff out online, but saw some of it at their showroom before we ordered.
The furniture is really nice quality, and you can choose any color stain, but their customer service is horrible. We had 2 pieces that were out of stock. No one told us until the delivery date when the pieces did not come. It took over a month to get the pieces. One was then scratched right on the front so that took another couple of months to take care of. The managers are almost never there when you call and did not always return our phone calls. Other than the customer service, we are very happy with our furniture.

Re: Bedroom sets! Where can we look?

Forgot to say... I think we paid just over $2K for everything. We got a big dresser with mirror, lingerie chest, another tall skinny dresser, and 2 night tables.
