Waiting for my closing date and have a question.
We are currently waiting for our closing date which should have been today but the paper work was processed late on Friday...we were told the bank needs 48 hour to process the paper work...Does anyone know why it takes 2 business days?
Based on your experience do you think it would be possible for me to close sometime this week provided everyone is available?
This is so frustrating...we planned to move in this weekend

Re: Waiting for my closing date and have a ?
I dont know why it takes 2 days to close but on our experience it took over almost 2 weeks to close. That was because we had our house built and on the first walk through we saw things that needed to be changed or repaired. (crack in the mirror, jets in the tub didnt work, etc...) Our contractor wrote everything down and had to give the orders to the workers. That took them another few days to finish. Then we had to schedule a second walk through. The second walk through was to ensure things were done and to sign off on all the work. Once we signed off, the papers had to go back to the builder then to the bank giving the ok to move in. Then we got the call of when our closing date was.

Oh no, we just did our walk thru this past Saturday (we too had this house built) the contractors didn't add grout to some tiles in the bathrooms and also some cracks were in our staircase. I hope this doesn't prolong the process but something tells me it may
