Just venting.. really sad..

I had to go shopping for a suit yesterday and was in tears in the store. It is so hard to find anything that fits since I am so short and still have a residual 15-20 lbs to lose. I went to the mall, to Riverhead outlets and then back to the mall. If the pants fit, the jacket didn't and visa versa. I gained most of my weight in my belly so its really hard to find anything to fit this figure.

I am senstive about the way I look as it is and this weight gain is def. not helping. I know that its all a part of the PG and that I just had him about 5 weeks ago so I need to give my body time to lose it, but I am still very sad.

Plus I have to get measured for a bridesmaid dress and I am not looking forward to hearing the size I am.

OK sorry for the vent.. but I know you ladies can understand.

I'm sorry you're upset, but don't be too hard on yourself. Have you tried shopping for separates? That way you can mix and match the size and the clothes will fit better and you don't have to worry about conforming to a suit size...

I just looked at your profile pic....you're adorable! I also saw that your baby is one month old. I know that you're frustrated but the weight will come off. I wore maternity for 3 months afterwards...and felt like complete crap too. I feel your pain and can relate. Shopping is the last thing I wanted to do after I gave birth and I'm sure you feel the same way too. Looking for seperates is probably your best bet. Does it have to be a suit? How about NY&Co, they have cute stuff...

try to find a place (like Maybe Ann taylor or the Loft) that sells suit jackets and pants or skirts separate - that way you can buy a different size jacket and pants. Like a size 10 pr of pants and a size 6 or 8 jacket - what ever you need.

I always have to get my pants hemmed..you could consider having alterations done too.

Yes and I should have said that I am over A YEAR post pregnancy and I still have weight issues. The weight flew off while I was BF and then I regained and now I'm still flabby.

You need to give yourself time to adjust to what your body has gone through, and the emotional and physical demands of being a new mom.

And like the other girls are saying, from your profile picture -- you are adorable!!

Macy's carries a brand ....Style and Co and they have suit separates as wells as coordinating separates. I'm glad you found something you like though.

I can't look in any full length mirrors and actually declined a Christening invitation because I didn't want to go through the process of shopping. Some days it really depresses me

Hang in there Alicia, the nicer weather's coming and maybe we could do a mommy's walking group or something

All of us newbies are in the same boat! Just think at least the weather isn't that great yet, we can still hide under layers ... I know how you feel, I go back to work tuesday and I don't have many outfits
