books on sleeping training...btdt moms...
which books/method did you prefer? I know Talia is a little young - but i need to start some sort of training - she is very well aware of what is going on and 3 hours sleep just isn't going to cut it any longer...thanks.

Re: books on sleeping training...btdt moms...
We read alot to see what methods were out there and what would work for us, the best book I would say was The Happiest Baby on the Block by Dr Harvey Karp Link
In the end it was really a mix of things, we started a definite routine very early on. Bath, nurse/bottle, bed. When he woke up to eat in the night it was all business we spoke softly, dim lights, diaper change, bottle then right back to bed (sometimes some rocking). Starting at about 3 months if he cried going to bed, we would go in comfort him , and then slowly increase the time we waited to go back in by 5 minutes.
Of course there were a few exceptions, like when he was in discomfort from teething (which was from like birth!) but mostly we stuck to the routine which is what babies crave. They then know what to expect.
Aidan has been sleeping 12-14 hours at night since about 3.5 months.
Hope little Talia starts cooperating!
