I add to my wardrobe each season. But I mostly buy stuff that will carry over to the next season/year.

agreed. If I had the $$$ I would love a new wardrobe each season, but that is not gonna happen, so just add new pieces.

i buy alot of new stuff...
i find that im wearing mostly new things each season
HOWEVER i do not buy expensive pieces...
I only spend money on staple items like coats, black pants, blazers and traditional sweaters that wont go out of style and will carry from season to season

that's the smart way to do it. i hear people talk at work that they need to be new stuff each season. i know, nothing is wrong with it. i would hope that they would at least donate the clothes that they won't wear anymore

I add to my wardrobe but I don't go and buy all new every season. Some of my favorite sweaters are classic cashmere turtlenecks that I have had for five years or more.
This season I HAVE TO buy everything new but I am actually sad that I won't be able to wear some of my fave old clothes this winter.
If the weight loss fairy will be on my side after baby is born, maybe I can wear some of my winter stuff for about a month or so.

Then I will buy some cheaper trendy items that I can throw out when they go out of style... like forever21 or h&m stuff.

i buy a lot of new things but i also have a lot of things that i carry through from season to season. but i do find that the clothes that i do carry from season to season are the ones that i spent money on...they last much longer than the cheap sh*t.

Same here too. I don't spend a lot of money on accessories or trends and I will buy a few pieces each season to add to the classic pieces I already have.
