I was thinking about this too...I wanted to wear my white skirt to work next week but wasn't sure if it would be ok to do that since its after labor day.

"What Not to Wear" says its a YES!! But it cant be summer white. It should be like a winter white and in fall/winter patterns and cloths

I think it depends on the fabric and style. I think white cotton pants or linen or anything summery white is a no-no. But winter white wool pants or a blazer are nice.
White shoes and bag are a no-no after Labor Day for me at least.

I have to agree - it really depends on the white. Winter white is perfect for after summer.
As for the white shoes & bags - imo, there is never a right time for them...I just really hate the look.

I don't think so... its depends on what you wear the white pants with. I wore white jeans during the winter last year, I just paired them up with boots and a cozy sweater.
I think its ok to wear white after labor day, as long as it doesn't look to summery.

for me....i hate the way that white pants ...of ANY material..looks in fall and winter
i just hate it..and STILL think it is a NO NO
but i do have a gorgeous winter white bag that i love and can't wait to bring out

I think if it's a warm day, it's totally fine. Following these rules always seemed silly to me—it's more a common sense issue—and as far as I'm concerned, if it's 85 degrees out, I'm still in the summer gear. I love my white jeans and will rock them until the weather turns cold.
