DH and I were asked to be godparents...parents already have a dress & cross..What should be do for a present?
And how much should we spend? I have been a godmother before, but that was to my nephew and that was different. This is a good friend's daughter and I do not want to appear cheap!!!!!!! TIA

I would say savings bond or start an educational savings acct. YOu don't need much to open one and it can be that start of something good for this child.

if you buy a savings bond, it doubles the monetary amount, so $100 dollars would buy a $200 bond..and they can use it for a college fund, etc....

I would do a savings bond and then a small gift. Maybe a baby jewelry box or something...........

I would do a bond and a gift also. My DS godmother got him an baby ID bracelet that I love and he can always keep it

I would do money or a bond and a Children's bible or some other keepsake for the child.
