when i would look at the website, I would look for open houses in my area! and price range. I would make a list of all the houses near each other. The house we found was 2nd on my list.

My dad is the mailman on the block and saw "For Sale by Owner" and told us about it...now he's OUR mailman!!

We actually saw it in Sunday's Newsday first, and if we hadn't gone onto MLSLI to see if any off those open houses had pictures, we probaly would have not even gone to see it just by the little blurb in the paper.

by driving around our specific neighborhood. The real estate agent just put the sign back up(it was previously on the market) the day I found it.

We saw so much crap with our RE agent. We gave up on her. Mike was looking on MLSLI for open houses. He sent me the link from work to go check it out.. AND I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!
