Looking for a teaching job on Long Island...anyone know any districts
That are hiring???? I am so discouraged  ..I have a year of experience in NYC and I was a teaching assistant as well. Please FM me..Thanks

In a Catholic School... we are letting like 7 people go at some point this week and I still don't know if I am one of them!

I'm looking for a teaching job too! (Aren't we all?) I'm certified grades 1 - 6, and have exp. subbing in pre-k through 5, as a pre-k teacher, and as a TA in pre-k through 5. It's so frustrating!  Leads appreciated!

I am in the same boat. THere is nothing out there. A friend of mine told me that Riverhead had 6 positions open and then they filled most of them with the people they let go last year after the budget cuts. It is so stressful and such a competitive position to go for on LI.
What is everyone doing instead of teaching????

I had a feeling that LI wouldn't work out so early in my career that I headed for Queens. Year one down, on to year 2. After that, we'll see, but ladies, much luck! It is so hard out there for this career.
