Home owners insurance...where

for co-op/condo owners (or anybody),
where do you have your insurance with. For me, it seems All-State is the winner...

i searched many others but most were off by $100.

we closed yesterday, and really dont want to move bigger things until this is taken care of today.

Thanks

I have Allstate. They were the best price and no BS. I use Allstate for our trucks/jewelry and for the 3 other homes we own.

Re: Home owners insurance...where

We used statefarm because the quote we received from allstate was not for current day replacement value, instead it was for actual value of stuff on the day it was destroyed. So if the tv was purchased in 1999 and it was distroyed in 2005 then we would have only received a $ amount for a tv from 1999. (But on face value allstate appeared to be a lot less expensive, when in reality for us it was not).
Geico was a LOT of $ for little protection.

Met Life gave us the best price, by a few hundred dollars. But there are so many factors involved- I also talked to State Farm but I know people who got better prices with State Farm over Met Life.

We had to have it to close on our condo. I wouldn't go long without it. We just renewed. For our condo, it's a few hundred a year.

We have All State.

Re: Home owners insurance...where

Sorry guys but when it comes to Homeowners Insurance & Renters or Condo insurances price should be the least if your worries. You have to make sure that you are adequately covered. Replacement cost should be up to date, also replacement cost on contents should be available, back up of sewers, hurricane deductible should be at 2%. How do I know all this...I'm an insurance broker. Not trying to push any company on to anyone but adequate coverage is def. a must Chat Icon
