Going back to work has messed up...

her nap schedule completely!

I do know that we did this already -- when I went back to work the first time after maternity leave...and after long week off breaks it always was a big deal...and when I started college, etc.

The beginning of the summer was the same way too because she constantly wanted to be around me since she was excited I was home...

but the past month and a half the nap thing has been great. She has been like clockwork -- two two-hour naps a day --- at around the same time. She'd sleep so deep and I'd clean, vacuum, do the dishes and get so much done.

Well now that I'm back at work and she doesn't see me all day she doesn't want to nap again on the weekends.

yesterday she napped maybe a total of 20 mintues --- in the car when we were just going here and there---

and this morning she wouldn't nap at ALL -- so I just let her CIO a bit (for maybe 10 minutes) and it made me so freakin sad but I knew I had to do it. DH is in the bathroom taking a shower and I warned him she might get loud and to not get mad at me if I let her cry (he doesn't like the CIO thing, he goes and gets her after like 2 minutes especially since she calls momma dadda now when she does it) but I had to let her cry so she could sleep.

she was so tired she was delirous. Falling all over the place, knocking into things, and just so clingy and rubbing her face like crazy..

I feel so bad. I feel like it isn't right htat I have to leave her every day and like I'm messing her up by confusing her schedule but work is also a necessity.

I swear ladies -- I always say that it does get easier when you are all starting jobs -- when the newer moms post about going back to work and ask if it gets easier -- I always say yes, and it DOES --- but there are also sometimes when it is just so darn HARD! There are always days when having to balance working and being the mom to your little wonderfuls just gets so hard!

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I totally understand how hard it is. I believe part of the reason my DD wakes up in the middle of the night is to see me. We just went on vacation last week and had a great time, going back to work tomorrow is so depressing, I couldn't imagine if I had off the whole summer. You know it will get better as you work into your new schedule Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
