Newborn and sleep?
How long before newborns start sleeping more than 3hours at a time? My son wakes up every 3 hours like clockwork to eat.

Re: Newborn and sleep?
Mine is 1 1/2 weeks and wakes every 2-3 to eat.
Sometimes she will sleep for 4 hours in the middle of the night.

Re: Newborn and sleep?
My son is now 3.5 weeks old and he sleeps 5-6hrs at night after his 8pm formula feeding. When I breast feed he wakes every 2-3 hrs to eat. So I guess it depends on the baby.

Re: Newborn and sleep?
I don't think Jake started sleeping longer stretches (4 - 5 hrs) until 4 - 5 weeks. He was sleeping 8 hours at around 10 weeks.

Re: Newborn and sleep?
Nicholas started sleeping 5 hours at night when he was 4 weeks old. Now he is 6 weeks old and he is still sleeping 4-5 hours straight at night.

Re: Newborn and sleep?
It varies, for me it took 6 weeks to get one longer stretch.
