Re: Easy way to clean Pergo floors?
my stepmom just uses a simple floor cleaner like lysol and a mop.
you could also do a vinegar/water combo

Re: Easy way to clean Pergo floors?
I had pergo in our townhouse. I had a couple of different things that I used. For a quick clean I used a mop that had a microfiber cloth. I would just wet it and then mop the floors. I found it at a home expo but I've seen it in Home Depot too. I also bought the hoover floormate. It works great but you can't really use it all the time. Those were the easiest.

I had a spray and a dry mop for the floors. It worked really well and kept the floor kind of shiny. I got it at LI Paneling where I got my floor from.

I used something similare...I got mine at Holbrook flooring.
FYI...you should NEVER use water or any regular floor cleaner on the Pergo type floors...it will ruin the floor because the floor is just pressed boards with a lamitate finish in it. Water will lift the laminate.

Re: Easy way to clean Pergo floors?
U should most definitely call the place u got the flooring. we just got pergo tiles and they told us DO NOT use anything on the floor except water. ( I read someone said no water...not sure) They told us theres a special cleaner and it was only 10 dollars. They said everything else will lift the color and shine.

Its so weird, I read from the manufacturer from the floors we got absolutely NO water, just use windex- . I hate that, I get plain windex with amonia but I feel like its not really cleaning it.

Re: Easy way to clean Pergo floors?
Its pretty scary all the contradictions to what is right and what is wrong to clean these floors. The companies need to get with the program. Obviously someones doing something wrong. Unless u can use anything on it and these floors are just an advertisement for alot of products. We had alot of people here last weekend and our floors look horrible and we just had them put down about a month ago.
