I bought my house in South Massapequa 1 block from the water and it was 330K 2 years ago

I agree that $399k is a little steep - If its a good area in Oceanside then someone will snatch that colorful house up. The school district is what people pay for

Paint can do a lot for a house. I dont hink 399 is a lot, probably can negotitate a little lower

Ick --- what's so great about Oceanside to buy a house like that just for the school? When I was growing up, Oceanside was nothing special.... maybe things have changed??

No offense at ALL to Oceanside -- just that this HOUSE I found kind of disturbing, with all those colors... If it were a nicer house in Oceanside, sure!

I don't think it's that bad...obviously it needs a total paint job...but there are hardwood floors and it looks like it's in decent shape. I would think that getting a house for under 400K in Western Nassau nowadays is a tough trick.
