One suggestion on what to bring to the hospital
I just thought about this when I posted about something else.
When I was in labor with Madeline, the hospital couldn't find my pre-admit paperwork. Dh missed the birth because he was filling out paperwork for me.
Most first labors average 14 hours, second ones are about 1/2 that. I thought I had another 6 hours to go with plenty of time when I showed up at the hosptial, but Maddie had other plans.
I suggest making a copy of your pre-admission paperwork just in case you have a quick birth too.

Re: One suggestion on what to bring to the hospital
This is a wonderful recommendation and I agree with it. I mailed mine to the hospital well in advance and of course they did not have them. Dh had to go down to fill out the paper work and it was great to have it all together. No way he would have known all the info they needed himself, esp while his mind is on his wife in labor.
