Update-PIC included...Baby's 1st bday present HELP NEEDED!!
What is a gift I can get my friends son that won't be thrown away or obsolete in a year? I want to get them something special that will last.
I ordered this stool...thought it was really cute! THanks for all the ideas!

I made a small scrapbook album for my friends daughters first birthday -- she said it was their favorite gift and that their daughter looks at it all the time.
But I usually do savings bonds.

I was going to say a savings bond too. I've also given things like a First Curl keepsake box or Tooth Fairy pillow.

Another option is the montage on the Parenting Board. You can create your own for free if you have a DVD burner.
That would be a cute bday gift.

My daughter has the same stool, 2 in fact. She LOVES it! She's only 10 months but loveas to play with the letters. I love it as well because I use it to put her in her crib without havin gto put the side down. It a great present for everyone!
Just wanted to add that of the 2 stools one was from Onestepahead and is such better quality than the other stool.
