I saw it and LOVED IT!!!! I went with my girlfriend and our DHs and it was her second time. The actress who played Elpheba is gone now, which is a shame because she was awesome. I'd see it again though.

I LOVED it. The little one may not understand the humor, but I think it is ok for them to see.Chat Icon

I personally think 2 is a little young for the theatre. The 5 year old definitely won't follow the story or understand the humor but would probably love the set and costumes. There are a couple of scenes that I think could startle a young child.

This was an amazing show though, the adults in the familiy will LOVE it!

I got this off their web-site:

Recommended age for children is 8 and up.
No children under 4 admitted.
No one will be admitted without a ticket.

Why don't you try chitty chitty bang bang, Beauty and the beast or the lion king?

I think these are more child friendly.

My inlaws just took my niece and nephew who are 41/2 and 2/2 to see chitty bang bangand they loved it. They also said it was filled with kids.

Re: Broadway show "Wicked". Good for kids?

Thanks so much everyone!! We saw Beauty and the bEast, we brought my daughter when she as not even 2 and she sat the entire time and cried when it was over. My kids have always been exposed to musicals and shows so they can relate unlike other young kids I have seen in the theater, I guess that is why I didn't se bringing my 2 year old inapprpriate since she has enjoyed shows since she was 1. But.. since no one under 4 is permitted , we will look into Chitty chitty bang Bang. Thanks so much!!

I think kids will like it, but it can be scary for really young ones!
