Human Traffic movie last night.
So I get a call at 10:45 last night, and miss the last 15 minutes. Is it complete or is there another part?

me too, I was in and out of it. When DH called, I lost where I was at in it.
She had made that rape movie, then the dad saw it being played and started throwing up.

Lately, any movie or show like law and order, that has to do with rape has been really freaking me out. That has to be one of my biggest fears and watching it on TV just really makes me sick.

This movie had me wondering how bad life has gotten.
So now God forbid your kid disappears, its not going to be is she dead or alive, but is she dead, alive, or being sold in a sex trade.

So Mia Sorvino meets the guy off the plane and is immediately put into a van with other girls. She asks them "what is this" and the guy slaps her. The police hear her (her hair clip is a microphone) and know there is going to be violence.
They take her to a place in Newark and bring her into the basement. The line the girls all up and start fondling them and taunting them and slapping them around.
The guy who "ordered" the bride (sorvino) rips her shirt off and touches her and the father says "sos and so is asking for you upstairs" so the guy leaves and the father winks at the cop (sorvino).
The police are survelling the place waiting for the BOSS to show up. He shows up on a motorcycle and slips past them.
He comes into the basement and survey's the girls and he says Sorvino doesn't look like she's 21 and she says "I wanted to come and be a wife". The father motions to the daughter to come to him and one of the other girls says "look, I think he knows her from the old country." so the Boss gets suspicious and starts asking a lot of questions to the father and the cop.
The police realize that the Boss is already in there and they surround the house and set up position.
Mia Sorvino is able to grab the gun from another guy and says freeze, blah blah blah ... there is a stand off for a few seconds then someone moves and there is shots everywhere, lots of running and screaming, etc ...
The Boss gets outside and he is shot multiple times. Sorvino says not to shoot him, but he goes to shoot her (with like 15 bullets in his body) so she shoots him in the head and the squat team shoots him even more.
Fast forward and she is giving a speech about Human Trafficing to a panel of group of people, you see the girls get their passports again, the father gives his daughter the mother's earrings, the cop cries a lot.

I think it certainly brought all this to a lot of people's attention. I never really gave it a thought. It is so sick.

In Manilla, the dirty old man gets shot in the head on the pier (the girls are in a cargo container). The police are suspicious. One of the guys that helped him load the girls has Anna's bracelet and he remembers that it ws the little phillipine girls and that Anna must have taken it after the little phillipine girl ws killed (side note: did you see them snap her neck? SICK!).)
He feels guily and makes a call and the next thing you know they are storming the ship containers and bringing the kids to the hospital and her parents are with her.

They probably will carry it at Blockbuster I am sure.
So sad, these people's lives were ruined. It's amazing though how easy it is to be "stolen" ... I mean each of those girls were doing everyday things when they were captured ... one was dating a nice man, another went to a modeling casting call, the little girl was with her mother in a flea market .... too scary!

it is really scary. And how could they ever recover and live a normal life after all that? It is so amazing that there are people out there that sick to do this for money. I can almost understand if you are a sicko, with mental problems. But to run a huge operation, and steal these kids, and then have them raped 12 times a day for money
