Out of work at 34.5 weeks
Well I am really happy that my midwives decided to take me out of work I just wish that my BP wasn't high. I started off my pregnancy on the high side but it was somewhat stable and now my last several visits it has kept rising. On Friday, after being home and resting it was the highest it has been yet, 144/98. So they decided that working wasn't helping the situation, especially because I am on my feet all day and took me out until I deliver. I have good disability coverage but I still worry about money and all that because it's not all at full pay. I have to go for an ultrasound on Tuesday to make sure the high BP is not affecting the placenta or baby at all and I'll probably be at the doctor's office 2 times a week and have frequent non-stress tests. I am trying to relax and not worry since I know so many people have had the high BP thing and went on to deliver just fine and have perfectly healthy babies. Its just a little scary when there is any potential that something can harm the baby. So please keep me in your thoughts that everything looks good on Tuesday and that bedrest will keep things stable so that we dont' have to induce.

Re: Out of work at 34.5 weeks
Good Luck with everything.
I am actually going through the same thing and I am 32 weeks. I work 4 hours a day then it is home to rest for me. I go once a week for NST and sonos to make sure the baby is still happy in there. So far with the decreased hours my BP has come down and the Dr. is very happy. The best thing for you is to rest and take it easy!!
Keep us posted on how the tests go and I hope I made you feel a little better!!
