bringing the baby to the hospital to visit my dad
Is this appropriate- he is 9 months, my dad was in a bad motorcycle accident( non life threatening) on tuesday and I only got to see him once because I dont know if its ok to bring the baby. I called the hospital and they said at my own risk because the baby could get sick ( but my dad not sick just injured ) because his lungs are not fully developed just wondering what others thought? my dad has his own room- how could the baby get sick if I hold him the entire time?

I wouldnt cause I would be too worried about my child getting sick. I know your dad isnt sick but there maybe others that are sick on the same floor he is on. I'm sure your son would be ok, but I wouldnt take that chance of him catching something while you are there. Do you have anyone that can watch him while you go to visit your dad?

I wrote a post about this about a month ago...went to visit my dh's grandmother in the rehab ward AGAINST my better judgement and found out that her previous roommate had an INFECTIOUS DISEASE. Don't bring the baby - IMO there's no need if he'll be OK.
