HELP! I"M SUBBING THURSDAY FOR HIGH SCHOOL!
I'm a certified elem teacher and they called me to sub in the high school this thursday... I'm freaking out a little... any tips?!?! Thanks!

u need to find out, also find out if the teachers are leaving u plans. ur really not going to be able to teach...per say bc HS kids can be difficult with a sub. i would try and get incontact with a teacher there to assist u.

One of my old tricks was to tell the kids that if there was a written assignment that I was told to collect it at the end of the class period. That would sometimes scare some of them into doing the actual work.

I'm in my 12th year of teaching high school and as a vet all I'll say is many of them are just bigger babies!
Hopefully, the teacher you are subbing for is a task-master. If not the kids might think they can get away with @#$%. My students know there will be trouble with me if they give trouble to the sub
Don't let them see you sweat and don't tell them you are usually with the younger kids
