White Noise Machines
DH and I are considering getting a white noise machine. For the past year we've shared our bedroom wall with a couple and their baby. The baby does not sleep through the night and constantly starts screaming sometime between 2 and 5 am almost every night. We've tried using a fan to drown out the noise, but his screams are too loud. I've never heard anything like this child's screams. We're hoping a white noise machine will help us sleep through the night. Can anyone recommend a good one? How much does it cost and where can I get one? Are baby's screams something that the machine might drown out? Thanks.

Re: White Noise Machines
I have seen the alarm clocks that make nature sounds, like rain and waves crashing, at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Have you tried foam ear plugs? They help me.

Re: White Noise Machines
DH snores and foam earplugs have been a lifesaver for HIM. As for white noise machines I think you can get them in a Staples, Office Max type of place. I don't know how much, though.

Brookstone has those new sleep machines:

I can't wear the earplugs, so I asked for this for Christmas from DH so I don't throttle him.
