how many mommies did a big christening party and a big first b-day?
My lil girls days will be about 7 months apart and i feel like it may be too much to ask of our friends and families...

We did a big Christening and I plan on doing a big first b-day also. Maybe you could just have a big party to celebrate both?

I don't see 7 months as a problem. I was in a similar situation and heard no complaints. we through HUGE parties for both for all of our kids.

We did a Christening of about 80 people at a family style Italian Restaurant - for Michael's first bday we had it at a Knights of Columbus in Seaford and hired a DJ and Cookie Monster came to visit.

I wouldn't worry about the 7 months. Most family will enjoy these big events in your child's life.
I did a christening at 3.5 months - in a small restaurant - immediate family and some close friends - about 40-50 people. For the 1st birthday, I had it casual - at my house - basically invited most of the same christening people and a few more close friends.

I had a big party for both
For Christening my DD was 4 months old and we had 120 people at the christening
For her first B-day I had it in my mom's backyard and had about 150 people it was great and I had no complaints at all

We had a big christening party at an Italian restaurant in East Meadow in September and we are having a dual very large first birthday party for my son and niece in March at a VFW in Seaford. They are 3 weeks apart we thought it would be nice to have a joint party.

We had small, family-only affairs for both. With both sides of the family, that was about 30 people (brothers, sisters and their kids, no cousins or anything). We're not big party people and really enjoyed the small intimate parties we had at our house.

We had a big Christening party (120pp) and we will have a backyard party for his 1st bday with about 60 people or so (in Aug - 7 months apart).
