A question for the co-sleepers...

What I'd like to know is how the heck do you all fit?

Emilan -- 3 kids in your bed! I have a hard time fitting just Emily!

My parents co-slept with all of us, and at one point both me and my sister slept in their FULL sized bed with them. I do'nt know how the heck we all fit.

DH and I have a full sized bed (because it was all that would fit in my first apartment and we haven't replaced it yet) and when Emily is sick she sometimes ends up in bed with us, and while I LOVE waking up to see her leg draped over Daddy or her hand wrapped up in my hair, there is just not enough room. It's so crowded and I feel like I'm falling out of the bed the whole night, because we all know that my DH isn't going to share his space!!

we have a king size bed and Aly would sleep in between us and we slept on the outer edges and the dogs slep by our legs or at the foot of the bed

Re: A question for the co-sleepers...

We never had the intention of co-sleeping. We started with a queen size bed & my nursing in the middle of the night.

My ILs moved & gave us their king size bed. Now everyone goes to sleep in their own bed. Joseph usually wakes up in the middle of the night & climbs into our bed. Maddie usually waits until about 6am, goes potty & than comes in our bed. We co-slept with Joseph who refused to go to sleep in his crib & would throw up when we tried. For Maddie, we already knew better so she went straight to her crib when she was born.

We had a Queen size bed to start and had no intentions of co-sleeping. It ended up being so much easier since I was nursing and we all ended up getting better sleep doing it. When we bought our house we got a King size bed and are much more comfy. I have every intention to have the new baby in a crib but I hold no illusionsChat Icon I am sure all four of us will be sleeping in our bed. Truthfully it doesn't bother us one bit that Damien is in our bed. Plus the fact that he is a boy and we have family members that co-slept and said that the boys never do it as long as girls, since they are more prone to be embarrassed with their friends. So we see the light at the end of the tunnel.
