I used to LOVE the Dockside in Port Jeff, but it closed.
I've heard that Sweet Mama's in Northport is awesome --- my cousin went yesterday, and my co-worker went last week. They both said they can't wait to go back!

Sweet Mama's was ok. I don't think it really changed much from when it was Smitty's. Very crowded, loud and a long wait (and we were there before the church crowd).
For me a good brunch place has to do with being on the water, warm weather and a dock with sailboats. Sometimes we grab egg sandwiches & go to the docks in Northport. I'd love to try a PJ place one of these days.

If you're looking for sit down and serve type of meal, I also recommend Maureen's.
The best "brunch" in Suffolk that I've been to is at the Port Jeff Country Club (not that name anymore), it is amazing!! I believe it is $30 per person.

Last time we at there my husband got food poisoning from the grilled chicken salad at Riverview - He was sick for days!

Everytime I'm out on LI I want to go to Maureen's Kitchen - I remember when it was a tiny restaurant on the opposite side of the street!
Sometimes I wish I could convince DH to take a Saturday morning drive out there just to have their breakfast!!!
