Anyone belong to the gym synergy?
I called to get information, but like most gyms, they won't give me prices over the phone. I was wondering if it was worth the time to go done there.
A friend and I went to World's Gym, waited around and got the grand tour and it turned out they were very expensive. I feel like I am checking out catering halls again. I don't want to waste my time and their's if it is out of my budget.

I got prices over the phone 2 days ago!
They are $55/month, with a minimum 12 month contract. PLUS a $99 initiation fee.
eta: AND they wouldn't offer any "trial" membership - 1 week, 1 month, etc.

I do - but I haven't been there in ages.
I will ask my DH if he knows how much it is. I remember paying about 299 for the year (but that was a few years ago)

i did, i paid $40 a month w/$100 fee. but i switched to nysc, more gym.....

Well, they wouldn't give me a price over the phone, but he said I would get a dicount for being a teaching and they are running a promotion, 2 for the price of 1. My friend wants to join so that would be good. I guess I have to go down and get a price. It's strange that everyone is paying a different amount.

A few years ago I went to find out prices and they were high. A little more than I wanted to spend.

People probably joined at different times or are at different locations (I'm sure Manhattan is more expensive).
I had a membership a few years ago - I think I paid $45 a month. They're always having No Downpayment sales.

I used to - it was $80 to join and $35 a month. They said it was the student discount, but I have a feeling everyone got that price.

yup, that's who I called.
I thought Gold's was pricey, so I was pricing out others in the area.
Man, if it was ONLY $25 a month, I'd DEFINITELY go....but I can't do $55
