Groin pain

Is it normal to have pain in my groin (kind of where my leg meets my torso)? Lately it has been so bad I can barely walk. I'm 34 weeks, and I don't know if this is "round ligament" pain or what it is from. It doesn't really feel like there is anything wrong, so I don't want to call the doctor, but it is really uncomfortable.

Re: Groin pain

I get that too - but usually when I do too much bending down or squatting.

Now that I'm 33 weeks I'm starting to feel a whole bunch of different pains.

Hope you feel better!

Re: Groin pain

I had that happen to me last week after I had been in bed for 24 hours. I know if I don't move and stretch everyday, all my muscles hurt.

Re: Groin pain

I've been getting it really bad, usually if I'm laying on my left side...then it's my left groin area. It's almost like that charley horse feeling, I can't even stand up straight.

Re: Groin pain

I've got it all the time now and it's been this way for several weeks. At my most recent visit they said it is normal. Check with your doctor, but it sounds like it's perfectly normal unfortunately b/c it's really painful and I'm sick and tired of it.

I want to know how it compares to labor pains, because those groin pains are excruciating!!!!

It's a different kind of pain. I thought since the shooting groin pains were so sudden, I was unprepared & not able to brace myself. (and holy cr@p did they hurt!)

Since labor pains come in waves, they were more manageable. You can actually look at the monitor and see that you've hit a peak. You just need to breathe through the peaks - or just ask for an epidural if you're not going for the "natural" childbirth.Chat Icon

Hope this helps.

Thanks, it does. I plan on getting an epidural, but I just know with my luck it won't work out that way.
