Braxton Hicks vs baby leaning against uterine wall
How do you tell the difference between BH and the baby leaning against the uterine wall.
Honestly, the dr scared the cr@p out me yesterday, he said if I feel BH 4 times in an hour to call him immediately. Now that I actually pay attention, my belly gets hard more than I thought.
How do you know if it's BH or just the munchkin? I am 25 weeks.

Re: Braxton Hicks vs baby leaning against uterine wall
I can tell by the movement of the baby. I can feel him squirming and know that its not BH, just him pushing and leaning against me- not the most comfortable feeling at all and it hurts sometimes. With BH i just felt my belly get hard and it would go away pretty quickly. I usually would not feel the baby move with BH.

Yeah I think you would really know if it was BH. My stomach gets hard all the time but I know its just her moving around. try not to worry!

At 36 weeks - its still hard for me to distinguish between the two!
I feel the baby, move and stretch around all the time - sometimes it hurts - i get that tightening sensation every once in a while - but i think its the baby pushing up against me..... i guess ill know soon enough

I have no idea what I am feeling. One Dr. will tell me one thing another something else. This has been the most frustrating part of being pregnant, everybody tells you something different.

Re: Braxton Hicks vs baby leaning against uterine wall
BH really doesnt feel like the baby moving or leaning. It feels like a tightening that spreads across the abdomen and the belly gets really hard. I found that with baby movement, it never really felt like that BH spreading feeling. Thats been my experience anyway with both pregnancies. I didnt get all that much BH with my son but got alot with my daughter and it was always the spreading & tightening feeling. HTH
