The never ending saga for the entertainment search...continues...opinions!!!

Let me try this again!

Right now, we have our tv on this (minus the bookcase in the pic)External Image

We have this coffee table which we looooove!!!

We were thinking about now getting the matching console table for the tv and DH's new dvd/stereo reciever thing which is thin.

We want the look to be simple and streamlined, but NOT BACHELOR PAD-ESQUE, meaning I don't want metal and glass! He doesn't want a heavy looking unit. Compromise. Thoughts?

I think it could look nice- the one challenge might be keeping the cords out of sight. That would really mar the look. Also, how would you accomodate the cable box?

i really like the tables.

i have 3 bookcases in my den, 1 small 2-shelf for tv and 2 tall side bookcases for books and accessories. the bookcases all have a closed back. i LOVE the untraditional look. got all the pieces at PB but they don't seem to sell them anymore.
