How do you get dried candle wax to come out of a glass votive?

The candle melted all around the inside of the votive..the wax is dry and the wick won't burn (candle is finished)..

Just run it under hot water and the candle wax will come right off. This is also true if you get candle wax on the floor or on a mantle top, just use a hot clothe and it comes right off.

yup. after Hanukkah I boil a tea kettle full of water, put a paper towl in the drain and pour the hot water over the menorah. the wax comes right off and leaves a shine behind Chat Icon

In the future to avoid this put a little bit of water in the holder then put the candle in. This way when it gets down that far you can just pop it out.
