Sharp Pain???
Today as I was getting out of the car, I got a sharp pain in my abdomen that shot through me. Kinda like I pulled something. The pain came and went; I have not had it since. Should I call the doctor or are these "growing pains"? I am 16 1/2 weeks...is this normal? Plus I feel little flutters which I think is movement. Am I right? Can you feel the baby this early on? TIA

lower abdomen - on either the right or left side? I get those - they're ligament pains, and totally normal. I'm more surprised this is your first one. I'm 13 weeks and I've been getting them since early on.

I did get ligament pains early on, just not this bad. This time the pain went from my left side and then moved down, not across like they usually did before. I hope it was ligamnet pains because it really freaked me out.

Sounds like normal stretching pains when they just come out of nowhere and then go away.

I get the same things. Especially if Im getting up from a seated position or getting out of the car too fast. Just take it easy and move slower, it helps ease the pain. Also could be round ligament pains (growing pains).

Yeah I agree, sounds like growing pains. As for feeling the baby, yes you can feel him/her this early on. I felt my son at 13 weeks. It felt like popcorn popping in my belly.
