Need Help with my Halloween Costume
I am being Pippi Longstockings!
I know to braid my hair, and make it stick out (and put on freckles) but what exactly do I wear?
oh, and I need a place where I can find a little monkey....
I am in RI...

I think you could get a stuffed monkey at a Toy Store, or even a Target or Walmart, right?

The most important part is the hair and socks.
Get the monkey at Toys r us, they have a whole section of really nice stuffed animals that are cheap!

TRU has the velcro hands monkeys too! You can just have him sorta hanging on your sweater...
I think any mismatch clothese would be good and some colorful high socks

so should I wear like crop pants (I ahve cropped jeans) with colorful socks..should they be mismatched to? and I will wear a sweater with a velro hand monkey!

I would agree - hair, freckles ,mismatched clothes.
We just started reading the book the other day.
Excerpts from the book (page 8):
Her hair, the color of carrot, was braided in two tight braids that stuck straight out. her nose was the shape of a very small potato and was dotted with freckles....her dress was rather unusual. Pippi herself had made it. She had meant it be blue, but there wasn't quite enough blue cloth, so Pippi had sewed little red pieces on it here & there. On her long thin legs she wore a pair of longstockings, one brown and the other black, and she had on a pair of black shoes that were exactly twice as long as her feet. These shoes her father had bought for her in South America so that Pippi would have something to grow into, and she never wanted to wear any others...It was a little monkey, dressed in blue pants, yellow jacket, and a white straw hat.
