Ugh! Now what? TTC & Changing Drs/Insurance (A little long)
I was on BCP for about 6 years straight, my last pack ended on 7/2 and AF started 7/4. I am "scheduled" to get AF this coming week, but I feel no Pre-AF signs. I had stopped BCP last Nov b/c we thought they were the cause of my constant headaches, and AF skipped a month, found out I didn't ovulate and had a cust on my ovary. Dr put me on Premarin, and AF arrived. Started back on BCP, they weren't the cause of the headaches.
So, I had decided if AF didn't come this week I would go to the Dr the following week, just to make sure things were okay (no cyst), mostly b/c I am having some discomfort on my lower left side (kindof a crampy/pulling feeling). The problem is I dropped my health ins (GHI) and added onto DH's (HIP) and my Gyno isn't participant with DH's ins.
Do I pay out of pocket $100 for a visit at my Dr (who knows my history) or go to a new Dr, and goes thru who knows what to "catch up"?
TIA!!

IMO it's always nice to speak with a Dr. who knows your situation. However, at the same time you can certainly request your file from your prev. ob/gyn.
AND...not sure how HIP works, but some insurance companies will allow you to go "out of network" and then file for re-inbursement after the fact.
Good luck and keep us posted!
