So, we just bought a house
and now we have remodeled....
What do you think? DH and I did it all by ourselves!

Scott, it's a ranch...
We actually didn't plan on doing this...
It started by trying to take down the wallpaper, which was 3 layers, the bottom layer directly on the sheetrock, no primer, so the sheetrock came with it.
We priced out wallpaper removal, but found it was cheaper to just re-sheetrock the whole house...plus, it smelled like mothballs, these people were so dirty and GROSS!!!!! You wouldn't even believe the things we've found...
So, we gutted the whole house! We tore down a half wall, and are moving some closets around, but that is really it.

I love how you say, "but that is really it" like you weren't doing much. Sort of like, but we just straightened up a bit!  You home will be beautiful when it is done. I know it can be daunting while you are in the middle of it (we are too). I can't wait to see the after pics!

Ugh I had this in my mother's house. A simple project of removing wallpaper & then painting became a total demo & rebuild.
Good Luck.....you will be happier with the new build
