Re: Looking for a vacuum that is great for pet hair
I have a Shark Pursuit HEPA Bagless Canister Vacuum that does a TERRIFIC job at picking up Brodie's hair.
I have white carpets (not my choice) and a big black dog!!
It has to be cleaned out a lot, but in 8 months it still stands the test of the dog hair.
I love it and it's only $99 (got it through Bed Bath and Beyond).

We have the Hoover Windtunnel bagless self-propelled. It has HEPA filtration and it's really great. They say it cleans better than Dyson and I believe it. We So abuse our carpets but after we vaccum they look great. We're about to have a cat in the apt, so I'll let you know how it does on pet hair, but it seems GREAT so far.

Does anyone have one that is great with pet hair and good on wood floors? Lucy's shedding is out of control and even though I vacuum every other day its not helping too much and I think its our vacuum!

The one I mentioned above had two attachments - one for carpets and one for wood/non-carpetted areas.
They are quick to change and both work really well.
