Repost-Question for teachers
What is your maternity policy? I know most of us have to use our sick days then opt for the 12 week FMLA... but how long can you be out and have your job waiting for you? 1 year per baby 2 per baby? Less or more? I realize this is without pay or benefits usually, just wondering how long your job will hold your position for you?

Re: Repost-Question for teachers
we have the same thing... 12 weeks and our sick time is used... we can borrow a certain amount of future sick days which we must pay back 2 a year....
we have 2 years non paid maternity that secures our job.

same here
the district I used to work for had unlimited sick days....so if your dr signed you out a month before the baby was born, you would get paid for that, plus the 6 or 8 weeks
