When it rains it pours! UPDATE!
I just got a message (from a company that I interviewed with 2 weeks ago) for a follow up interview either Monday or Tuesday of next week.
I also just applied for a position within my present company and what if the hiring manager wants to meet with me on either of those 2 days?! 
the 2nd interview is in the city, so I have to take a day off. UGH!
what should I do?? I haven't called them back yet.

I say interview with the place in the city. You can just tell the hiring manager at your current place that you needed to take a personal day for something, well, personal and that you could meet with them mid-week. They'll be a lil more understanding since you already work there.

I just got some advice to ask for the interview in the evening... I can tell them I have important meetings I can't get out of. they should respect that, right?

i agree...you'd be a fool not to....what if you don't get the new job in the current company...then you'd be kicking yourself cause you might have gotten the other one!

I really have no choice but to go for that 2nd interview. I just have to think fast how I am going to handle it
