Did you have a lot of groin pain before going into labor?

I am in so much pain that I can barely function right now, and everyone keeps telling me that this is what happened to them a week or so before they went into labor. Just curious what everyone here thinks. (I'm not counting on it, I'm just curious.)

Yes, definitely. I had them for a week before I delivered (both pregnancies). It felt like there was so much pressure when I walked, I swore I thought they were just going to fall out on their own. Without getting into TMI, it was like a very, very painful ache (even while sitting).

A few weeks earlier, there were shooting groin pains. These were different then what I experienced the week before.

I know! I keep having talks with her that she needs to wait until after the shower so we have something to put her in!Chat Icon
I don't feel like I am going to have her REALLY soon, but I have SO much pain in my groin that I can barely walk or sit. I don't want to say I think I'm going to go early because then I'll be like this for another six weeksChat Icon

ETA: Thanks for all the answers girls!Chat Icon

I had severe pain for about amonth before. I felt as if my bones down there were going to crack. The docotor told me that your pelvic bone actually seperates from the weight. I wore a maternity belt and that seemed to help.

It was the most painful symptom of my pregnancy besides the MS.Chat Icon

Re: Did you have a lot of groin pain before going into labor?

I would say a good month before birth...it felt like a bowling ball was sitting there. At times I would joke that it felt like a hand came out. LOL

I've heard the same thing about bones separating preparing for labor.

Mine has been for quite a while so I think you've got time. It's awful. Definitely the worst symptom I've had and in my opinion it's what is making it impossible for me to tell when I'm having a contraction b/c I'm already in such pain down there.

Re: Did you have a lot of groin pain before going into labor?

I didn't have groin pain but I had really bad lower back pain for 4 days straight before I went into labor.
