I don't think it is recommended in the 1st trimester, I'm not positive though.

My Dr. said it was fine to get a massage in the 1st trimester but to just be careful of the oils they use as they can lead to an allergic reaction.
However, I waited until 16 weeks to get one and it was worth the wait.

I am not sure- they place I go to would not let me until I was in the 2nd trimester.

The place that I went to was concerned about the 1st trimester too. However, I did have lots of pedicures in the 1st trimester. What about getting some other forms of pampering now and hold off on the massage until you're in the 2nd trimester and more uncomfortable because you'll REALLY love it then!!

every place and dr is different i guess..i went during my 3rd trimester..i just had to get a dr's note..so i would find out from the spa you want to go to ..then ask for a drs note if thats what they require.. i know in your 1st trimester you still are able to lay on your back so i dont see why you couldnt go..but again ask your dr. HTH ..

I got a few massages during my pregnancy. It was great. I made sure that the person knew I was pregnant.
