Cell Phones and Driving
I know we are all guilty of talking and driving at the same time at some point. But today, I begging all of you not to if you possibly can. My uncle was in a serious car accident yesterday. The woman driving was on her cell, broadsided him and flipped his SUV. His car went on fire, and if it wasn't for the nurse two cars behind him, we were told he would not have made it. His lungs collapsed and he is in the trauma center at Nassau County Medical Center.
Please if you need to make or take a call, please use your hands free or pull over. You could be saving a life.

Thank you all for your well wishes. It is most needed at this time. His two young sons are in shock as well as my aunt. Luckily there were alot of witnesses on Old Country Road who saw this girl on her cell phone, so she is going to be in some serious trouble. And the ironic thing, not a scratch to this chicks car. Walked away unharmed, well actually not. Passersby tried to beat her up b/c of what she did and being on the phone!!!!!!!!!!!! Channel 12 news even showed up.

How awful, I am so sorry for your family.
I have read that driving while on a cell phone is as bad as driving drunk --- not under the influence but DWI...

wow, sorry about your uncle but you are soooo right. I agree with this whole cell phone driving thing. I hope he has a speedy recovery

I personally dont ever use the phone while driving. It distracts me. I just cant do 2 things at once.
