new to boards
Hey ladies. I am new here.
Have a question. DH and I have been TTC #1 for 8 months. Seems my luteal phase is short, but varies month to month. This month only 7 days. any advise?? I put in a call to my OB/GYN but haven't heard back yet!

Welcome to the boards :)
Are you charting ? If your LP is 8 days and you are sure of that by charting,...I probably would set up an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist so they could run the appropriate tests. Unless your ob/gyn is very familiar with fertility,...and will do the testing him or herself.
You can try to take b complex, that may extend your LP. There are other supplements that are known to help extend the LP but honestly it's better to have an understanding of why this is occuring so that a doctor can treat it.
You may want to get a 7 dpo progesterone test...

No, I have not been charting. I use OPK's only.
I am going to chart this month. This way I can see for sure what is going on.
Any suggestions on how to get started!

Sure,...all you have to do is purchase a basal body thermometer....
They sell them at most drug stores like eckerd, cvs etc or you can order one from online.
I also suggest reading the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler...and signing up with www.fertilityfriend.com. Fertility friend will chart your temps for you, so you can see the pattern...they will also help determine your Ovulation day.
