Must have baby items
I am going to start my registry next week and I am looking for some ideas on anything that we should DEFINATELY have. Any suggestions of where I can find a list of the top rated baby items? Or can anyone share with me the things they could not live without once the baby came? TIA.

Re: Must have baby items
Pick up Baby Bargains Book for top rated items.
My must haves were: Chicco bouncy seat - very sturdy, not like the flimsy ones. It's also deep so they feel snuggled up.
Baby Einstein dvds aka Baby Crack. Only way I was able to take a decent shower.
Video Monitor - some say it's overkill. It came in handy so I could check on him without walking into his room. If he was awake & saw me, he wouldn't go back to bed. This way I could see him. Also plan to use it when they have boyfriends/girlfriends over when they're 16.
Medela Pump in Style Breastpump - may not be applicable.
Gymini - it's over $60 for a mat that goes on the floor. Annoying but kept them entertained for a while.
Boopy - doubles for feedings, helping to develop muscles for sitting up but allows them to fall (which they need to do in order to learn balance) & not hit the floor for the most part. HATE HATE HATE the Bumpo seat, although I never had it. I know many moms love it. I wonder about it impeding the physical development. Boopy pillow also works well for pictures to prop the baby.
My mom - she's not for sale. Well she is for rent because someone is giving her $15/hr to watch their baby, but I'll be angry and will post mean things about you if she takes the job.

I registered for this for the same reason! Also to make sure they don't sneak out in the middle of the night as a teenager!

Re: Must have baby items
I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but I LOVE my booster seat. Here it is...
I skeeve restaurant high chairs, but not really the chairs, the fact that they have to eat off of the table itself...so I carry this *everywhere*!
Also loved the Bundle Me for the carseat. Little known must-have for powder formula feeding...divided formula box for going out. Pretty much everything else I loved was already mentioned!

The Cuddle-Me pillow by LEACHCO was a lifesaver with my daughter. It's like a boppy, but it has a built in strap so told the baby in....
They have it on Walmart.com and Babiesrus.com
