Your favorite creative baby shower gift?
Hi, I am going to my friend's baby shower next week. I am purchasing something from her registry, but I wanted to give her something creative, too. I've given other mommies-to-be a basket with a poem and things they'll need...I guess I am looking for something along those lines but maybe a little different.
Did any of you get gifts that were original and special that you can tell me about? Thanks!

My friend lined a bath caddy with a blanket and put in bath products, a matching stuffed bear to the blanket and a book by Paul Reiser about Babyhood. It was so cute.

its not that new anymore but my favorite was my clothesline that my mom did... there must've been 40 outfits, bibs, etc. etc. in a big laundry basket. it was amazing.
a basket for the mom to be would be nice too... lotions and stuff, maybe a massage GC, so that she can pamper herself after the baby is here! some other things people have put are "coupons" for a free night of baby sitting on you, restaurant GC so her and her DH can get out of ths house, etc.

Since you're already buying her something from her registry, I don't know how much more you want to spend. But, I also got the clothesline at my shower and it was really cute!
I also got this after the baby was born and I loved it. I still use the diaper bag often.

DH and I met in Fire Island - one of my friends put together a FI theme - onesies of FI, a red wagon, etc. Anything that the couple may like together?? They sell cute onesies at Cafe Press.

The most creative gift I got was a basket with Bibs, onesies and childrens that were holiday themed, some flags for valentine's day/easter/halloween to hang on the door or on the porch.
