Best place to get new mattress?
We need a new bed and am wondering where anyone found the best prices. The one we have now is killing me and at 7m preggo I need a new one ASAP so I cant wait for one of the big annual sales.

We bought our double pillow top from 1-800-MATTRESS. We origninally saw it in Seaman's and then decided to call up 1800 to see if we could get a better deal. They knocked $50 off the price and gave us free shipping.

bed prices are insane....you sleepys tried to charge us 400 more then where i saw the same bed (comparable model) for less. and those biatches still wouldn't honor the lower price.
we ended with a memory form bed (similar to temparidic) from costco. we love it.

I bought my first one a couple of years ago at Rockaway Bedding but had a horrible experience with their service. The mattress is great, it's still perfect, it's now in our guest room. But I lodged a complaint against Rockaway with the BBB because of the huge mess they made of my order. I got our new mattress at Sleepy's. I went on a hot weekend last Summer and the store was dead. I think I was their only customer that day and totally robbed them with the deal I got! . Makes a change from them robbing us

That's where their "If you find it cheaper anywhere else" slogan is BS!
They want to see the same model number...even though it's a known fact that mattress co's make different models for every store.
We recently bought our mattress from JCPenney...we got a great deal because it was during a Presidents Day sale and we bought our bedroom furniture there too.
Sears also has a large selection.
Be careful where you get a mattress...I'm always afraid of buying a "refurbished" mattress. skeevey!

Rockaway bedding. No payments for a year and 0%. The mattress and box spring I got was supposed to be $1,700. I got it for $950. I told him I'll give you $950.00 right now and he gave it to me. I can imagaine the mark up on them.

I would suggest that you just get a high density (4 lb or higher) memory foam matress topper that is at least 2.5 inches thick.

the deep pocket sheets that fit those high beds are insanely expensive!!

My brother and DH both got mattresses from Suffolk Mattress Company (I think that was the name) and both loved the service and the price. I don't know all of the locations, but one is on Jericho in Commack.
