Does anyone really want a their baby to be a certain gender???

Please be honest......like if you already have 2 boys or 2 girls do you secretly hope for the gender you dont have

Dont get me wrong I want a healthy baby and I am so fortunate to even be able to have children
I am feeling so guilty that I really want this baby to be a boy because we already have 2 daughters........I will be HAPPY with whatever the sonotech says on Saturday but I am hoping she tells me I will be having a son

Am I a bad person for feeling this way??

HOnestly I was very happy to find out it was a . Not that I wouldn't want a , but my baby sister died of SIDS when she was 2 mths old.

Even though this was 21 years ago, I still remember the day and it hurts.

I have a brother now who I am close to, and my DH has 3 brothers.

You're not a bad persona at all! I know that this baby is a and I have a weird feeling that I'm going to have a boy the next time too. Then we will have to decide whether or not to shoot for three kids, so that I can get my girl. I know that healthy babies is obviously the most important thing, but I can't lie, there's a part of me that would be a little disappointed if I had three boys.

No way, I don't think you are a bad person for feeling that way at all..

I know that if I had two of the same gender and was on my third pregnancy, I'd be rooting for and hoping for the opposite sex by then as well. IN a perfect world, we hope to have 3 kids and somehow I have a feeling they will all be boys.. boys are just SO dominant in both our families. And of course, that would be awesome.... but at the same time, by the last one I'm SURE I would be itching for my girl!

I know you want a healthy baby more than anything, but don't be hard on yoruself for hoping for a boy... either way that child will be loved of course!

I have a son and I love him to death so I secretly wanted another boy because i cant imagine how having a girl will be but Im the last girl in my family so now 23 yrs later I am actuatly having a girl. I think people have a prefrence even if they dont say it my dh wanted a girl but wouldnt say it till we found out it is a girl

i secretly wanted a girl.....and would have been happy with a boy....dh secretly wantyed a boy but would have (and now is!) so happy with a girl.....he can't wait for her to arrive!

I don't think you're a bad person for feeling that way. I would probably say the same thing if I had 2 girls. In my case, I do have strong feelings both ways. I've always wanted a boy first because I love having an older brother. But I want a girl too because they are more fun (not the right word - I love their clothes and the stuff for their room, etc.) I have nieces & nephews (2 of each) and I love them all equally. Boys are so much tougher though. Girls play nicer with their dolls, etc. At least that's been my (limited) experience. I really would be happy either way though.

We already have 2 girls so we really wanted a boy this time, and thats what we got.
