Speaking of fruits and veggies.
What are your staples? What do you buy every week and what are some recipes that you have for them?

Re: Speaking of fruits and veggies.
I assume you mean what I regularly eat fruits and veggies wise. Not nearly enough, but I'm trying to be a lot better.
I get romaine lettuce, carrots & snow peas every Sunday and make a big bowl of salad that I try to eat for lunch every day. I usually have to go back and get more mid week. I have to make it ahead of time so I can just take out what I want. I get too lazy to make it every day and it just rots otherwise.
Baked potatos (I make them in the micro)
Lately I'm eating a lot of applesauce (the no sugar added kind). Not really eating much other fruit, which isn't good.
It's not fresh, but I really like the Progresso garden vegetable soup.
I'll steam some frozen veggies and mix them into pasta with a little garlic and olive oil.

Yup, I meant the fruits and veggies you buy every week. I love the Progresso soups! Last night, I made rice and cooked a bag of Tabatchnek vegetable soup and mixed them together. Soooo good.

I buy a bag of salad and toss in some low-fat cheese. I am not a huge salad fan but I go through a bag in about three days.
I don't do much with fruit- I like chocolate Slim-Fast shakes with a banana. I also like fruit salad- sliced cantelope, grapes, watermelon, honeydew. And sliced pinapple.

Re: Speaking of fruits and veggies.
Veggies I buy every week: asparagus, broccoli, green peppers, red peppers, snow peas, baby carrots, mushrooms (button, portobello, shitake). We eat a lot of fresh veggies. Also, onions, garlic, shallots, white potatoes & sweet potatoes and lemons & limes are always stocked in the draws.
Fruits I usually buy red delicious apples for DH, macintosh and granny smith apples for me. A small bunch of banana's. I usually buy my berries and peaches from the cart guy in front of my building.
Sometimes we eat it all, sometimes it lasts a week or two .. sometimes it goes bad, but I love the fact that it's there if we want it. It helps us eat them more often.
Frozen veggies I keep stocked: sugar snap peas, broccoli, spinach, crinkle cut carrots, corn.

Thank you! I had frozen corn too, but when I would use it, it would make the dish taste weird. So now I use can corn.

Fresh Fruits & Veggies I buy every week are tomatoes, asparagus, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, red leaf lettuce, garlic, shallots, red onions, banannas, green beans. Sometimes I buy mangos, pineapples, mushrooms.
Frozen veggies I always have on hand are mixed veggies, spinach, beans and peas. Usually a box of mixed veggies in an Asian Sauce as well. We have a veggie with dinner everynight unless we are having a pasta and even then we will sometimes have a side salad with it.

salad stuff. Apples, bananas.
then whatever is in season, reasonable price: grapes, peppers, cucumbers, melons, etc.
I love fresh veggies and fruits, but sometimes I resort to frozen veggies too.
