Had a REALLY Rough night....not sure if I should worry
for the 2nd time this week when I've gone to bed, I feel like my heart is racing and I have that panicked feeling, similar to when you're scared. You feel like you can't breath. Well I finally went to sleep only to wake up to pee at 2:30 feeling exactly the same....took my shower for the day and kept drinking water (and some gatorade too). Didn't go back to sleep probably till 4am. Felt a little nauseous too while in the shower.
DH took my pulse (he's a retired EMT) and said it seemed ok, but somewhat irregular and to tell the Dr on Monday
We had pizza for dinner, I had NO caffeine yesterday (just a few pieces of chocolate which is normal for me).
Could it be heartburn? blood pressure? a panic/anxiety attack?
I'm ok now...still feel a little "off" and my head hurts a little.

It's probably fine, but you should call your doctor. Its better for him to tell you everything is fine.

Re: Had a REALLY Rough night....not sure if I should worry
that happened to me once...they blamed it on not drinking enough water (but i feel thats a universal answer for when they dont have a tech. one)
I would call the Dr better 2 be safe!

Re: Had a REALLY Rough night....not sure if I should worry
Sorry you are going through this.
I feel something similar on occasion, like my heart kind of jumps/races & I lose my breath for a few seconds. It usually happens at night. I think it's b/c my belly is still pretty high & it's putting pressure on my diaphragm, causing shortness of breath. It happens more so when I'm laying down. It could also be from lack of water & maybe too much salt.
Don't know if this sounds similar to you, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone.
Take it EASY & feel good!!!!!!!!!!!! You're almost there!!!!!!!!

it sounds like anxiety attacks. I get them at night a lot. I would tell your dr.

Re: Had a REALLY Rough night....not sure if I should worry
I had something similar and the dr said it could be that I wasn't drinking enough water. Also, if you are feeling lightheaded or dizzy it could be because your iron count is low. Definitely call your OB -- it will make you feel better just to talk to him.

I had that all the time for me it was from not being able to breathe well so it was almost like my body was compensating for that.

yes I had that all the time too, I think it was a combo of not being able to breath as well with the belly pressure and gettiing panicked about it
