Chimney Cleaning Cost Question
Never had to have this done before...what is a reasonable cost per flue? I just want to have an idea before I contract someone to do the work.
I don't even know the last time the previous homeowner had this done but I know she didn't use the fireplace often....the chimney for the oil burner could use a cleaning too. THANKS!

Ive seen in the pennysavers 39 per flue- but Im not sure if that is reasonable. How many flues does 1 chimney have?

depends - we have 2, one for the fireplace and one for the oil burner.

we are in jersey and asked our oil company for a recommendation. the first rec we didn't like, but another one we found reasonable...

We just had ours done this some and replaced the lining. I know it was $999 for the cleaning and the lining. I will ask my DH who the company was, I honestly don't remember but I know that we were very satisfied with them, and their price. We had 5 companies that came to give us estimates and they were in the middle and one of the only ones that was honest that we were not supposed to be paying tax on this.
